Antique Computing Instrument Collection - Four Sides Four Slides Gauger's Slide Rule

This boxwood slide rule is dated to c1770 as in page 234 of Directory of British Scientific Instrument Makers 1550-1851, there is a picture of a slide rule which is exactly the same as this one, and made by the same maker, Edward Roberts, who's working period was from 1749 to 1784. When acquired, one of the original sliders of this rule is missing, the empty slot of which is now filled with a scratch built blank slider.
